Obituary of Jack Allen

Predeceased by his parents, Samual and Rose Elenzwaig; siblings, Sadye (Hyman) Swartz, Jessie (Harry) Ladne and Sol  (Sylvia) Allen. Jack is survived by his loving family, wife, Marie Allen; daughter, Linda (Thomas) Looney; grandchildren, Sam (Ashley) Schrier and Patrick Looney step-grandchildren, Brienne (James) Gardiner and Ryan Looney; great-grandchild, Jackson Alan Schrier; 3 step-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.

Jack was a lifelong music lover and trumpet player. He played with the Army Band during his time in the service and was leader of the 16 piece Jack Allen Band for 30 years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Family and friends are invited to call Thursday, 5-8 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services (3325 Winton Rd S). A celebration of Jack's life will be held Friday,11 AM in the Interfaith Chapel at the funeral home. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to The Rochester Area Community Foundation, RIJF, LLC Jazz Education Fund, 500 East Avenue, Rochester, New York 14607 in his memory.
