Obituary of William T. Boggs
William Thomas Boggs "Bill", 76, passed away July 6th 2019. Bill was born in Morgantown West Virginia, he graduated from Lyons Senior High (NY) where he enjoyed playing football. He lived here in New York and worked at Xerox. In 1972 Bill moved to Tucson, Arizona where he served as a firefighter badge #41 for the Tucson Arizona Fire Department, for 24 years. Bill moved back to New York where he met his wife Nancy and they have been married for the last 15 years. During this time he enjoyed retirement, travel, and most of all most of all spending time with his grandchildren.
Bill loved to watch Arizona Wildcats college basketball team. He was a New York Giants fan and avid golfer. Bill was known for his quick wit and practical jokes. Bill also liked playing mathematical puzzles such a Sudoku.
Proceeding Bill in death are, his parents, Ruth and Robert Boggs, his siblings, Robert Boggs, Charles Boggs, Anna Bolling, Carolyn Boggs, and his daughter, Elaine Boggs.
Bill is survived by, his wife Nancy and Dog Bitsie, his sister Mary, his brother George, his four children: Glenn (Cheryl), Fred (Nicole), Laura (Kevin) and Todd; brothers in-law, Ira (Patti) Crandall, Willia (Kathy) Crandall, Robert Crandall; sisters in-law, Betty Oswald, Irma (Kevin) Hermey, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, July 10th from 4pm to 7pm at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 3325 South Winton Road, Rochester 14623. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 am beginning at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 3325 South Winton Road, Rochester 14623, interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery Victor, New York.
