Obituary of Dillon J. McDermott

Dillon J. McDermott of Pittsford, passed on August 14, 2019 at age 96.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nancy; children: Ann (Larry) Meehan, John (Trish) McDermott, Brian (Kathy) McDermott, Tom McDermott (Chris Treadway), Jean (Joe) Ochs, Patty (Warren) Stoutz, Peter McDermott (Barry Dunaway); 14 grandchildren, one great-grandson; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Helen; siblings: Harry, Arthur (Jack), Jean, and Anne McPartland.

Dillon was a proud World War II veteran having served as a ball gunner on a B17. He continued his service by actively volunteering at local veterans organizations including the American Legion Doud Post, 40&8, DAV and the VA Medical Center.

Calling hours SUNDAY from 2-5PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. (3325 Winton Rd S). Funeral Mass will be held MONDAY at 11AM at St. Louis Church (64 S Main St, Pittsford). Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
