Sister Malachy of St. Joseph O.C.D.
Pittsford: Sister of the Carmelite Order, she entered into rest with the Lord on August 18, 2019 at age 91. After 31 years with the Sisters of Saint Joseph, she entered the Carmelite Order on September 5, 1977, received the Habit on March 18, 1978 and made her Final Profession on October 12, 1982. She is survived by her Sisters of the Carmel of Rochester.
Sister will lie in state in the chapel of the Carmelite Monastery (1931 West Jefferson Road, Pittsford) on Thursday, August 22nd from 4-8 PM. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 23rd at 7:30 AM in the Chapel of the Monastery. Bishop Salvatore R. Matano presiding. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
