Obituary of Philip Polizzi
Passed away on September 6, 2019 at age 89.He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Yola; their son, Stephen Polizzi; brother Joseph Polizzi; and daughter-in-law Robin Polizzi. Survived by his children: Patricia Polizzi, Paul Polizzi, and Thomas (Debra) Polizzi; grandchildren, Philipe Polizzi, Katherine Polizzi, Jeffrey (Kelly) Polizzi, Julie (Joshua) Mullins, Rebecca (Michael) Ernst, and Thomas Polizzi, 12 great-grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews.
Phil was known for his love of friends, family and nature. Phil was a Mason, in the tradition of his father and grandfather. He worked on many buildings in the Rochester area, including Kodak, Highland Hospital, Al Sigl Center and RIT. As a skilled stone mason he built his retirement home in the woods above Keuka Lake in Hammondsport.
Funeral service will be held at Open Door Baptist Church, Churchville on TUESDAY, September 10th at 11:00 AM (click HERE for directions to Church) followed by a graveside service at Maplewood Cemetery in Henrietta.
Following the burial service, friends and family are welcome to return to celebrate Phil’s life with lunch at the Open Door Baptist Church.
