Obituary of Richard G. Moore
Richard “Dick” Moore passed September 29th after an extended illness. His final days were spent with family and close friends.
Friday we will gather to honor this very special man who was a tremendous husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. He was an alumnus of RIT and a 30+ year retired Xerox mechanical engineer. His career allowed for him to travel the world, but Rochester has always been his home.
He and his wife Joyce celebrated 52 years together and had three children Brian, Mark (Amy Happ) and Shelley (Tabor Anderson).
He loved holidays, cookouts and summer trips to Maine with lifelong friends. Dick was the type of man everyone looked to when they needed a helping hand. He was able to master every challenge he was presented with. After retirement he worked with his son Mark and his business Mark Moore Design. He also enjoyed owning and renovating properties with his son Brian. Most recently he enjoyed planning the wedding for his daughter Shelley to Tabor Anderson. He was greatly saddened to not be able to attend this joyous occasion, but will be there in spirit. His grandson Tylor brought him great happiness and he always looked forward to his visits. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are invited to call on FRIDAY, October 4, 2019 from 10-12 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. (3325 Winton Road South, Rochester, NY 14623 VIEW MAP). Where Dick's funeral service will be held in the Interfaith Chapel of the funeral home at 12 NOON. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
