Obituary of Anna-Jean McClarin
Anna-Jean McClarin, age 84, left this world for heaven on Sunday, November 3, 2019. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Stuart Bruce McClarin; two daughters, Debbie; Sue (Tony), and three grandchildren, Samuel, Noah, and Sarah; two sisters, Shirley Carini and Evelyn Heil, one brother, Carlton Milbrandt, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Carl and Melba Milbrandt, and her sister, Lois Vandermallie.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. Family gatherings, big and small, were a favorite time for her.
Anna-Jean grew up in Rochester, NY. She was a dedicated Christian and church go-er. Singing in church choirs and sending notes of encouragement to church members were two ways she enhanced the life of the churches of which she was a part.
Anna-Jean loved to be outdoors. She created and maintained beautiful gardens at her home. Raising and training Shetland Sheepdogs (Shelties) were favorite hobbies. Anna-Jean is a life-member and past training director of the Dog Obedience Training Club of Rochester New York (DOTCORNY). She and the Shelties participated in and medaled in many competitions including Obedience, Flyball, and Agility.
Service to celebrate the life of Anna-Jean McClarin: Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 1:00 at Pearce Memorial Free Methodist Church, 4322 Buffalo Road, North Chili, NY. All are invited to join the family at an hors d'oeuvre reception following the service. Please make donations in her name to a charity of your choice.
