I just found out today at Weiders Ace Hadware in H.F. (front end cashier) that Michael passed. I had to step away. Michael and I always hugged each other hello/goodbye every time we saw each other, talked about his family and his trips, and life just in general. I made sure he had everything he needed at Weiders even if he didn't know he needed it lol. I always looked forward to our puns and jokes. I am going to miss that man so much. My heart goes out to all his family and friends. Sending squeezes to heaven Michael. Love Always, Lorie Stack

Growing up in the 50s when Henrietta was a sleepy little town, you were one of my first friends. You were like a brother to me, and your Mom and Dad treated me like another Son.
Even though we didn't keep in touch over the years, Memories of our childhood are always with me, and always will be. You will always have a place in my heart.
RIP my friend.

I met Mike at RG&E. Mike was a well respected, highly skilled individual with great work ethics. Mike was quick witted and always had a smile and a story to tell. My condolences to Mike’s family and friends.
Mike, during the next thunderstorm I’ll be thinking of you banging away on your drums. Enjoy your new life in the hereafter.

You were the best friend anyone could have asked for and I regret not getting together more often than we did. You were always so passionate for your family and friends. Your memory about this town of ours was amazing and you would often remind me of past events and people that probably would have remained forgotten, if not for you. And as corny as some of those jokes you told us were Mike, you always told them in a way that would still make us all laugh. What I wouldn't give to hear you tell just one more. I know that the blues was not your favorite genre but that's all I feel like playing right now ... I just wish my fingers could find the notes and make the sounds that could express how much you will be missed.

I met Mike in the summer of '79. Along with Mark Claybrook and Bill Blackshear we formed a band called Blazin, then renamed it Viper. We had incredible fun times playing, partying, and raising our families together. Our brides were carrying our first born at the same time. Mike not only kept perfect time as a drummer but he was the steady, even tempered, heart of gold peacemaker in situations that would always come up when 4 young guns got together. His passing saddens me more than I can say. I love you Mike, you will be sorely missed.

We started our careers out in the same lineman class at RG&E. He was always upbeat probably because of his love of drums. Me and my family extend our deepest sympathies to your family. Heaven will be a better place, rock on!

We grew up together with many other friends in Henrietta. Always laughter, love and great moments. As we grew, you spoke of your boys, how just watching them sleep made your heart sing. Getting older meant children and grandchildren and many life experiences never to forget. Losing you so soon, so suddenly, is a tremendous loss for all of your family and friends.Your departure was so sudden. God always takes the best first. May your soul soar to the heights of God's Grace and music. You will be missed.

It is so sad that another one of our cherished henrietta brothren has gone to the the henrietta in the heavens. Mike was one of the first people I met when I moved into Kerry park. some 55 60 years ago. mike was what the signs use to say a township of friendship. many have witnessed the camadaraderie of some of us the past few years in april. nobody could ever match mike his love feeling respect his proudness. where ever mike showed up most ran to him immediately his humorism his act his respect and caring for all can never be replaced. As we have all walked the path of life we have all met many a people but i'm not sure we all met anybody as admiral friendly kind and mostly the respect he allways showed everybody . we are losing the good ones too often lately but it sure is nice to know I have an additional shadow and its a greater person then ill ever be God blessed us all with his presence and I believe he will be rewarded for his just friendship to all thanks Mike for all the great memories and being an inspiration in not just my life ,but the lives of many God blessed us may he now reward you. j tommy dolan

I'm going to miss your laugh, your smile, your corny jokes, the meals you cooked (garlic from your garden was always involved in some manor) and every thing good about you. My first real band and first real drummer but one of my best friends ever. I will never forget the day when you first came down to play with us. We were excited that a 26-27 year old guy (we thought that was old by the way hahaha) that had already been playing in bars would even think of jamming with us. On that day we became band mates and the most import thing friends for life. I can't wait until we can jam again. Thank you for being a part of my life. Love to you and your family.

The family gatherings will never be quite the same without Mike's constant one liners that kept us all laughing. Mike called me a couple of years ago. He wanted me to know of his breakthrough concerning his faith. He said, "I got it! I got it!" I said, Got what? He said, "I'm trusting Jesus totally and completely for forgiveness of sins... I believe!" We rejoiced together. He was so excited. But not as excited as I'm sure he is now, in the presence of the one that made it all possible. It is with that hope that I look so forward to seeing him around that throne one day!

I was so sorry to hear of Mike's illness, and passing. Mike was a wonderful and hysterical man to work with while I was employed at Pinehurst, and we shared many of the same thoughts and issues there. With a parent living there as well, he understood some of my own thoughts, and made such an effort to help Dad out, showing more respect and care than many. He will be missed.
-
Dad (Ray Milne) truly LIKED Mike - he would listen to and agree with his needs and suggestions, they often worked together on apartment problems and dealt with many issues found and not cared for before. Mike showed such respect and appreciation for knowledge from our more senior-seniors - rare in these times. THANK YOU for sharing Mike with us!
