I teach U.S. History, U.S. Government/Economics in Florida, and can honestly tell you that science was NOT very interesting to me. Going into class with an open mind and trying my best, Mr. Haff was one of my favorite teachers and made science FUN. Rest in peace Mr. Haff. Tim Grant Class of 1980.

Rest in peace Mr. Haff. You were a great man and great teacher too. You definately helped foster my interest in science. So humble too, you probably had no idea how many students for whom you were a positive influence. Thank you

Mr. Haff was my all time favorite Science Teacher. I remember really loving his classes & his overwhelming interest in my animals and all things "Life Science". I think he was an amazing teacher and man. I looked up to him and felt that he respected all of his students. In 7th grade I did a lot of work after school taking care of animals etc. He was a very kind man. I will always remember his kindness.

Howie was a good friend and colleague. He touched many students' lives in his Science classes at Cal-Mum. He enjoyed his hobbies and I was glad to have been able to visit him many times at the Jewish Home. He always missed his loyal friend, Ron Cracco. Rest in peace, Howie.
