Obituary of Marjorie "Mimi" Pastore

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Marjorie “Mimi” passed away peacefully on January 18, 2020 at the age 65. She was born in Saratoga Springs, New York to George W. and Maralyn G. Gurtler on July 1, 1954.

Her loving husband and soul mate of 46 years, David “Dude”, plus her two precious daughters, Michelle Pastore, Lisa (Brian) Langlois, and her treasured grandchildren, Madison and William Langlois adored her and will miss her dearly.

She is predeceased by her mother and survived by her father, her siblings, Bernard (Karen) Gurtler, John Gurtler, Kathy (Kevin) Brower, George W. Gurtler Jr., and Diane (Christopher) Richardson as well as a number of other relatives and close friends.

Throughout her life, Mimi embodied unconditional love. Her acts of kindness, comfort, support and positivity could easily be found in her sparkling eyes and soft genuine smile. Her compassion for others and ability to always see the ‘good’ in each was profound and inspiring. As a devoted wife, mother, and trusted friend she shared these precious gifts daily, without ever expecting anything in return.

A beautiful soul and an angel amongst us, Mimi’s greatest joy was her family. From her two wonderful grandchildren, beautiful daughters, and loving husband through her parents, siblings, nieces, nephews and extended family, Mimi cultivated a family full of love, joy and connection. Her legacy lives on through each of them exemplified endlessly by the people who they are and those they are yet to become.

She loved life and those in her life. Unselfish, warm, soft, and kind, Mimi was a friend you could depend on. She was always there for those she loved and she will be deeply missed.
