Obituary of Carrie C. Smith

Carrie Chamberlain Smith of Henrietta, passed away on February 11, 2020 at age 97.

Born in 1922 in Wyoming, NY to Mark and Ruth Chamberlain.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 69 years, Richard “Dick” Smith; and their daughter, Carol Elizabeth Smith.

Survived by children: Katherine (Rev. Roger) Brewin and Laird (Rebecca Gordon) Smith;
grandchildren: Christopher Brewin, Andrew (Kielynne), Daniel, Nicole and Matthew Smith; great-granddaughter, Emelia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Carrie and her husband were active members of the Wally Byam Caravan Club/Airstream Club International, taking their trailer to 48 States. With 40 years of involvement, Carrie even took over as President of the local chapter of the WBCC. She was a proud member or the DAR and a 4H Leader, a skilled quilter and a square dancer. She worked for 14 years in the Conference Office of the UofR and was an Elder in the Presbyterian Church.

Friends and family may call between the hours of 4:00PM and 7:00PM on SUNDAY, February 16, 2020 at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc (3325 Winton Rd. S). Interment private. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Carrie was a founding parent of CP Rochester. It is because of this involvement that the family requests donations be made in her name to CP Rochester through the
