Obituary of Nora Brown Cooney

Nora Brown Cooney of Rochester, NY born April 30th, 1952 passed away after a brief illness on March 30th, 2020 at the age of 67.  Born to Robert and Elizabeth (Schanzenbacher) Brown in Overland Park, Kansas.  

Nora is predeceased by her parents, husband Richard Anthony Cooney, and her sister Nancy Zeller.  She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth (Matt) Alexander, son Edward, granddaughter Margaret (Maisy) Alexander, sister Susan Krupa, nephew Jeremy, nieces Laura Brown and Maren Norris, dear friends the Beckwith’s and Diehl’s, best friend for over 30 years Patricia (Pat) McCarty, and dog Jackson.  

Nora will be remembered for her signature red nails, love of cooking, and reading.  

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Nora’s honor to Highland Hospital Palliative Care or an organization of your choice.  

Nora’s Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
