John Biringer

Obituary of John M. Biringer

In loving memory of John M. Biringer

John passed away peacefully on April 25, 2020 at age 83. He was a proud US Air-Force Veteran, serving in the Korean War from 1954 - 1958. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Patricia A. Biringer in 2013. John and Patricia shared a bond like few other marriages have. Family was their focus as they lavished their love and attention not only on their immediate family but their extended family too. He is survived by his children, Mark J. (Jennifer) Biringer, Amy L. (David) Catalano, and Michael J. Biringer (Becky). John treasured his grandchildren, John & Shawn Biringer, Parker, Ross & Chase Catalano, Justin & Felecia Biringer and his great grandson, Cohen. He will be missed by his sisters; Ilene (Michael) McNamara and Patricia (Chester) Goscicki along with his in-laws; Joseph Bossert, Anita Brown, Ardys Stricker and Dale (Karen) Bossert.

John touched everyone he met with his kind words, gentle soul and true kindness towards his fellow man. This bond spread to his many nieces/nephews and extended family in the United States and Canada who he loved dearly. Those closest to him referred to him lovingly as Mick or Uncle Mickey.

During the last few years of his life, John was fortunate to have developed a loving group of friends at the Legacy at Erie Station where he was an active member in the church and choir. His kind soul, gentle humor and ever present smile will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known him.

A celebration of his life will be held at a date to be determined, due to the current COVID-19 situation.
