Carol Anne Burns “CB”

Rochester:   Passed away very unexpectedly on Monday, July 6, 2020 at age 74.  Carol was born in Elmira, NY and moved to Rochester, NY after getting her nursing degree from Corning Community College.  She was a Registered Nurse at Strong Memorial Hospital for 42 years.  She touched many people’s lives both on the job and off.  She has been the glue behind the Burns family for years and always made time for her many friends.  Carol spent her winters in Orange Beach, AL and her summers in Rochester, NY and on Seneca Lake with her brother, nieces and nephews.  Carol loved to be in the sun and near the water.  Carol was predeceased by her parents, Robert E. Burns and Jean Beth (Mason) Burns.  She is survived by her brother, Robert G. Burns of Foley, AL; son, David Killin of Warwick, NY, nephews, Robert M. (Pamela) Burns of Elmira, NY, Thomas J. (Sandra) Burns of Penfield, NY, Steven A. Burns of Elmira, NY; nieces, Megan J. (Kevin) Kozdemba of Elmira, NY, Jessica L. (Lyle) Burns of Elmira Heights, NY; great-nieces & great-nephews, Kristen Leighton, Courtney, Cambreigh, Victoria, Jayden, Ethan and Andrew.

Carol will be remembered as a very caring person that always smiled and loved to have conversations with family and friends. 

The family will recieve friends on Thursday August 20th from 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM at the Bushman Cabin in the Veterans Memorial Park, 595 Calkins Road, Henrietta.  Those wishing may make contributions to a charity of your choice.
