I worked with Ted for several years at ETHICON. A fine man, a great leader, and a great teacher. I always held him in high regard, as did all who knew him. Rest in Peace my friend.

Ted was one of a kind - great man and a blessing to those who got to interact with him. Great family - terrific friend and one you cherished for the remainder of your life. Gone much too early from this world and I know, without a doubt, God has Ted in a cherished place near his throne and Ted will be there suggesting ways to help.
God bless and keep Ted's family during this most difficult of times.

Anita, we were very sad and surprised to hear about one of my best friends from Kodak! We always loved our visits with you, and you had the best children ... ever. We fondly remember our visit to Texas in 2005 to experience millions of Bats leaving the Bracken Cave near Austin and exploring the Hill Country around your house. And we loved having you to Newport for the Jazz Festival a few years later. Ted will certainly be missed by many!

Shoni just texted me to let us know the sad, sad news. We are SO sorry--we really loved him and your family--what great times we all had together. Ted and I became friends while at Kodak. He was one of my mentors. We would talk about all of the political nuisances we'd have to navigate career wise. We'd also talk about grilling cause we both shared the same passion and I know he's got the grill going upstairs in the Lords house. Ted was a good guy always smiling and talking about something. We also talked about music as he seem to enjoy this as well. Going to miss him. Next time I'm on the golf course I'll tee one up in his memory. God rest your soul in his kingdom. Much love brother!

We met Ted and Anita 37 years ago but the last ten years we became really close. We traveled together and shared wonderful outings. As winter Texans we had the for 4-5 months at a time and when they went back to New York, we got to visit them there. Ted loved to debate and we would find ourselves solving the problems of the world. He loved to cook and share stories. He and my husband Freddy became menudo buddies and would go out every week to have their menudo. I told him once I was going to stop letting Freddy from going out to play because every time they went out it cost moneyOr they would get in trouble. He had a wonderful laugh and a wicked sense of humor. We miss him terribly. We’ve lost a great, gentle, giant. Our love to Amy, Shoni, Aaron, and Anita. We love you.

We lost a grI am blessed to have met in College and maintained contact with him throughout his career. He was a man who cared for all but would tactfully challenge you to make any situation better. I am fortune to have had him as a friend. My prayers are with the entire Steans family and the multitude of friends who also mourn our loss and heavens gain.
