Mike, Jim, Ellen & families,
I was saddened to learn of your mom’s passing. I have fond memories of hanging out with the Curtain kids. Along with our parents sharing time together. We sure had some wonderful times on Hillcrest Drive. My brother, Michael & I would have great conversations of our childhood before his passing. Often wondering where everyone relocated to. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. I remembering seeing this phrase on a tombstone in Ireland...
“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal ...
Love leaves a memory no one can steal.”
With sympathy,
Patty Kicera

Ellen, Jim and Mike our thoughts are with you at this time. Aunt Mary would not want you to be sad but to remember the many good times you had. I remember the many family gatherings we had on Cook Street and at the Lake. Our parents always enjoyed these gatherings and they gave us plenty of opportunity to interact as cousins and friends. We learned many things from our Aunts and Uncles. Aunt Mary taught me NEVER to mix’s two colors of Jello until the mixture was semi set. Otherwise, you achieve beautiful new colors for your Jello salad. When the pandemic is past, we need to raise a toast to all our parents. They taught us well to love and cherish family.
