I went to high school with Sandy and in recent years enjoyed bimonthly lunches together. She fondly nicknamed us the “Eastridge Girls!” There is a hole in our hearts and at our lunch table, but we know her suffering is over. I will miss our daily contact and supporting each other during our concurrent cancer journey. Sandy was so strong and an inspiration to me. The angels have gained a beautiful and loving soul. RIP my dear friend. To Jim, Josh and Joel and your families, you have my deepest sympathy. “The hardest part of loving someone is having to say goodbye~~~”

Sandy and I went to High School together BUT our friendship started four or five years ago. She became a very special person in my life. During the last months of her life, we spoke by computer daily or at least weekly. Those talks brought me peace. I hope they brought her that peace also.

Hello to the family of Sandy! Sandy and I went to Grade school, Jr. High and High school. Sandy. Her family lived on Twin Rd and I was the "Paperboy" from the ages of 7-18.
Having known Mr./Mrs Petranto for years, Sandy and her sister were a family who were ALWAYS terrific to me. Sandy NEVER had a bad word for anyone. One could tell, that "GOD BUILT HER HEART FIRST AND THEN BUILT HER BODY AROUND IT"
Being married for 48 year demonstrates her love for her family, life and everyone around her. Losing her is just the BEGINNING for her. She will forever BE with YOU AS a devoted ANGEL...LOOK FOR HER! I am so thankful that she found LOVE with her family, for LOVE IS THE GREATEST GIFT! WHAT A GIFT SANDY WAS!!!!!! That was her LASTING GIFT to al of you!

A person of many talents. I was lucky enough to be blessed and fortunate to share, some of those beautiful traits with Sandy. Laughter, cooking, and most of all kindness. She had the ability to raise you up, when you were at your weakest. She also had great Faith, we could always share at times like these. A beautiful child of God. I say to all of the immediate family, my prayers and condolences. To others, I say the same. We will meet again, Sandy. Save me a seat at the table, for Ginn.
To all of the Family, this is hard to take, yet feel the Comfort within your Friends and Journey she is now on. Peace and a new life, that has already started, because of her Faith. May God Bless all !
An Honor to have been a part of Sandy's life.
As you go through this difficult time, remember that you are so loved, Sandy wouldn't want it, in any different way.
With great respect,
Carl Bailey

Sandy was an amazing woman with a heart of gold. I’ll never forget how good she was to my grandmother and her kindness to others. I loved Sandy’s honesty and She always let you know how she was feeling. She was a great advocate for her mom and my grandmother. You will be missed greatly Sandy!

Very saddened to hear of Sandy's passing. I have been a friend of the Petranto's for many years. I will always remember Sandy for being so sweet and kind to us "little kids" when we were all so young. Of course, all the boys had a crush on Sandy, she was so pretty. I also remember her artistic ability. We would all hang out in the basement on Twin Rd and all over the walls were Sandy's beautiful drawings.

Dear Jim, Josh, Joel and family
Glen and I are so sorry for your loss. Sandy was a wonderful neighbor and helped Glen and I when we needed it the most. Sandy and I shared our love of cooking. What great times we had at your house on Mockingbird La. The Super Bowl parties are legend! Sandy will always be remembered for her beauty inside and out. May her smile, kindness, heart of gold, and fighting spirit always be a reminder to all of us. Sending our love and support to all of you. She's in heaven cooking up a storm and entertaining many angels. She will be greatly missed.
Love,
Mary Ellen, Glen, Steve and Karen Stanton Phelps XO
