Obituary of John J. Newcomb

September 6, 2020, at home surrounded by his family. John is survived by his loving wife Pam, son Zach (Keisha), daughter Kelsey Pflumm (Kevin), and grandson Theodore Duke. His sisters Donna (Rona), Mary Jo (Dr Ruth, David Frenzel) and brother Steve (Beav). Jackie and the entire Kohls family. Many nieces and nephews and K-9 unit Winnie, Norman & Louie. He also leaves behind hundreds of cousins, many of which fell from the Screamin’ Ehmann tree!

John was predeceased by his mom Jeanne Marie Ehmann, dad Donald Haley, brothers Mike (the Barber) and Tommy (Leaf), nephew Clinton and father-in-law Ted Kohls.

John courageously battled cancer for over four years and wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, surgeons and staff at Wilmot Cancer Center. The care he received was second to none.

Duke would like to acknowledge his friends at Rochester Police Dept, Monroe County Sheriffs, and RTS. He earned his living and his psych degree from these three institutions.

A celebration of John’s life will be held outdoors (masks encouraged) @ 3:30 pm, Saturday, September 12 at Parkview Fairways, 7100 Boughton Rd, Victor with golf after for those interested.
