Obituary of Ronnie B. Mercer

Passed away September 11, 2020 at the age of 78.

Predeceased by his wife, Helen (Holly) Mercer; daughters, Sally Moon and Colleen Bender; cousin, Stell and Bernie Faulconbridge; and nephew, Bernie Faulconbridge.  

Survived by son, James Richard Bishop the 2nd, his wife Maryellen; grandson, James Richard the 3rd, his wife Ann; great grandson, James Richard Bishop the 4th of Sarasota, Florida; daughter, Karen Mercer; son, Thomas Bishop and his wife Cheryl; grandchildren, Thomas and Joseph of Venice, Florida; son, Michael Bishop, his wife Rebecca; grandson Matthew, his wife Leah of Nokomis, Florida; grandson, Bradley Moon; granddaughter, Kelly Siracuse, husband Dave Siracuse; great grandchildren, Angeline and Sal; nephew, Ian Faulconbridge.

Ronnie was born and raised in Scotland. He had many nicknames and was also known as Red, Scotty, Poppa, and Fife or Fifer. He lived on Marwood Road for over 30 years and worked at Genesee Brewery until his retirement in 1994. Ronnie was the type to give you the shirt off his back. He will be forever known for his constant kindness and generosity. 

No prior calling hours. Ronnie’s Funeral Mass will be held on October 10th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (150 Varinna Dr, Rochester, NY 14618) at 10am. All are welcome.
