Dad, it's been three weeks now since you left us and as the days pass, I wonder if "time" will do as others tell me - make it easier. I think of you and miss you every day and can't imagine that it will ever get easier. I think of your big smile, silly faces, and love of life that you always had. I learned a lot of life lessons from you and will carry those with me the rest of my days. You only have one dad in your life and I am so fortunate to have had you for so long. I will always love and adore you and miss you every day. I know you're throwing the ball for my heart dog. I'll see you again someday...

Dear Aunt Jean, Linda, Kathy, Patricia, Colleen, and Steven,
My deepest sympathy to you all at this time, and in your mourning. I will always remember Uncle Jim, especially when he would visit at Mom's and call me Di-Dee. The last time I saw him and all of you was at a family reunion, and he was also celebrating his birthday. My husband Phil was able to meet him, and I will always remember his birthday, because it is our anniversary. May God watch over all of you, especially now, and prayerfully Uncle Jim is in heaven with Grams, and Mom.
My heartfelt love to all of you, I am sorry I can not be with you today, and tomorrow.
Love, Di

We spent so many good times togerther. Even after leaving Rochester and going to Massachusets, we still managed to get together and all our children still remain friends. He will be missed. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Dad, thank you for being my father and my friend. We worked and played together (some would say to much) side by side for many years. I will miss you and think of you every day for the rest of my life. Though we never needed to say the words to each other, because it was always clearly understood, I would like to take this last oppurtunity to tell you that "I love you"

I worked with Jim at the University of Rochester Security Dept in 1970 after I got home from Vietnam. I Iost my Mother that year and I fondly recall how supportive he was during a really tough time. Also Jim worked on the side and resided my Father's house on French Road....I tried to be there for him when he lost his Brother Bernie...Jim was a good man, I wish all his family well.

Words can not express our sorrow. This was a great man and a very good friend of the family that spent many weeks with us on Cape Cod when I was a kid and always had time to spend joking with us kids. Wish we really could be there in your time of need Linda, Cathy, Coleen and Steve

Grandpa - You will forever be loved and missed! You had an amazing sense of humor. Even though you didn't like another man to hug or kiss you haha, I always enjoyed it. I always had fun playing golf with you and trying to drive further than you. Never did work until I was about 24, and then I still had trouble. Like Samantha, I remember always riding up to 7-11 with You, Dad, Uncle Ron and Jeff sitting in your red van joking around and drinking coffee (hot chocolate for me) and eating doughnuts. I Love You and Miss You dearly Grandpa!

Grandpa- You were a strong brave man. I will never forget the time that we shared. One of my favorite memories is when my father and I would meet up with you at 7/11 in the mornings. You two would drink your coffee and I would eat my doughnut in the back of your big red van. Those were great times. Thank you for everything that you have ever done for me and your family. You will always be missed, but you are in a better place now and God has a new handsome angel with him to look down at us. Tell Ethan I said hello. I love you so much grandpa.

My deepest condolences to the Cain Family.
Jean, I am very happy that I got to see Jim one more time, when I came by your house, a few months back.
I met him shortly, after I came to America, in 1957.
We worked together for some time and became friends. And over the years, we kept in touch.
Maybe, not as often, as we should have!
I don't know how he felt about me.
But, I always considered him my friend and I will miss him.
Sincerely,
Rudi Zimmermann
