Always a great guy!! My dad (Herb, Sr.) worked with Billie in Eng, and my parents (Herb and Lorena)were friends with Bill and Janet. He got transferred to Dayton in 1966, so contact wained. However, I worked with Bill for many years in the Industrisl Eng group. Many times they had the whole department out to party and swim!! I always admired Bill's work ethic...a reminder to all or us about our parents' values. Later, Billie regularly attended the monthly retiree luncheons, and we had many enjoyable conversations. We will all miss him, but his great smile and attitude will remain with us. My prayers are with all of the large family. Peace!!

From Long ago when we first met we were friends, serving in the war together and sharing our lives together. I can remember one time serving in Okinawa we were there to get supplies to other ships and I had time to get away and relax, so inland I went to see if I could find my friend Bill. I hit land and stuck out my thumb to catch a ride a gentleman pulled over and asked where I wanted to go, I told him I was looking for Seabee (Nickname for US Navy Construction Battalions ) Bill Lloyd and he told me “I know him he sleeps in the bunk below me”. God did take care of us when we least expected things. We were able to meet up even though the chances were far and few. When we got home the times continued he was in my wedding and the Friday nights at our house dancing on the hardwood floors. God did provide for us all a life worth living. This memory from my Father in-law was described to me just the other night. He would love to be there to see him off but the days are busy with his wife Gloria and he is un able to make it. The Lord’s Peace to your Family and friends at this time. And always remember the Glorious meeting we will have in Heaven. Keep Strong in His Faith.

I'll always remember the fun times we had at your house & the time your dad came home from work and jumped into the pool with his suit on. My family was always so proper, I was flabbergasted.
