Obituary of Howard O. Stevens

Howard O. Stevens, age 94, of Rochester died Wednesday, December 23, 2009 in Monroe Community Hospital, Rochester, NY. Mr. Stevens was born September 20, 1915 in Rochester, NY the son of the late Edward and the late Nora (Bauer) Stevens. He was a POW of WWII serving as a Flight Maintenance Gunner in the US Army Air Corps 547th Bomb Squadron 384th Bomb Group. He received a Bronze Star, Purple Heart and 2 Overseas Bars. He retired from Eastman Kodak. Predeceased by his Wife, Florence E. Roller He is survived by son: Charles (Patricia Sharp) Stevens, granddaughters, Cheryl Gruschow, Connie (Thomas) DeMersman and Colleen Stevens; Great Grandchildren, Christina, Caitlin and Courtney Gruschow, Andrew & Timothy DeMersman. Several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Saturday Jan. 2nd from 1-3 at Henry D. Halloran Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 5781 West Henrietta Road with Military Honors at 3pm. Interment Private.
