Obituary of John D. Remelt

John D. Remelt, age 85, of West Henrietta died Friday, August 6, 2010 at Woodside Manor Nursing Home, Brighton, NY. Mr. Remelt was born December 11, 1924 in West Henrietta, NY the son of the late Frederick and the late Mary (Doran) Remelt. He ran Remelt's Evergreen Acres, in West Henrietta, NY. John as well as many generations of his family was lifelong residents of West Henrietta and members of St. Joseph's Church Rush, NY. John was also a member of Knights of Columbus Council #4812 and the Bishop E. Kearney Assembly. John was predeceased by his Wife, Marion Heffer. He is survived by his children: Charles (Sarah) Remelt of West Henrietta, NY and Katherine (Michael) Callahan of RI. His Cherished grandson, Parker Remelt.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 1-4 at Henry D. Halloran Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 5781 West Henrietta Road, West Henrietta, NY. Family and friends will meet Monday at 10:30 in St. Joseph's Church Of Rush, 6105 Rush-Lima Road, Rush, NY for John's Funeral Mass. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville, NY.
