Rich Dollard was kind enough to send this on. I have so many fond memories of the older Darby cousins and their families. Carol was in the hospital with me when I was 5 years old....6o years ago. She was like a beautiful angel. She and Joe made a great team. I remember the fun times at Troutberg cottage when I would babysit a gorgeous child named Mary. The Darby's were always there for my parents and I cherish all the love they gave our family making my mom an honorary sister and sharing Aunt Ellen with us.May God wrap His arms around your family and give you all peace. Love from Texas your distant but loving cousin.

Dear Joe, I don't know if you will remember me (your former elementary teacher at Guardian Angels) but I remember you, your mom and your wonderful family. Your mother was quite a remarkable person who seemed to always be giving to others. I am sure her death has been a great loss to you all. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Donna

I have fond memories of being babysat by Mrs. Darby. We have know the Darbys since we moved here in the late 60s and we grew up and went to school with some of her children (Michael, Maureen, Anne, Pat & Joe). We always enjoyed going to their house because they lived behind McDonalds, so sometimes we would get to go up and get a snack after school. Mrs. Darby was the a soft-spoken, gentle, loving, kind woman with the biggest heart. She will be missed, but I am sure that she is with the Angels in heaven now. May the God of comfort be with all of the Darby family as you morn the loss of a wonderful woman. God bless, Christina

To all my Darby cousins, My deepest condolences on the passing of your Mom. She was always happy whenever she was around the extended family. Always one to help organize and set up those family picnics. It was great fun to see everyone. I will always wonder why you lived in those Henrietta subdivisions where it was 1 left, 2 rights, a left, then a right to get to the house... or was it 2 lefts, 1 right and a u-turn to get there. My memories of all of you on Crokett Dr. and Pauline Circle will always be fond. My best to all of you, Terry

My Dear Friend Carol & Family, To the children and their families, you all have heavy hearts. Your mom was a great mother who brought up a loving and caring family, leaving many memories for you all to hold on to. God will give all of you the strenght to get through this sad time. Carol for 46 years we had known each other & I learned alot of things from you. You were a good listener and a wonderful friend. Walking across the street and going into your house I was always greeted as if I was a very special person. That is the feeling everyone got in entering your door. My friend, I'm truly going to miss you. Your work here is done. Rest in peace. I will not say good bye to a special friend, instead I'll say see you later. Love ya, Chickie

To all of the Darbys you have our deepest sympathy! Your beautiful mother was honestly one of the sweetest, most wonderful people I have ever had the pleasure to know. Your parents were a beautiful couple who did an incredible job raising such a big family. Not only did they raises you guys-they helped steer all of us, your friends, in the right direction. They welcomed all of us into your home, fed us, put up with our antics, and gave a perfect example of how one should live their life. It makes me smile to know that Carol and Joe are together again, free from any illness or pain.

Our dearest friends, may we express our sympathies in the loss of your mother. While growing up Mrs. Darby was a true angel on earth, she was always there to watch over all of us with one eye open in her rocking chair after working the night shift at Strong. She always spoke with a soft sweet voice and loved everyone! Thank you for all the wonderful memories of her as the years have gone on and may you cherish your memories also. God Bless Mrs. Darby and may she rest in peace. You are all in our prayers. All our love, Scott, Leslie, Sarah & Julie
