Janice,
I unfortunately never had the pleasure of meeting you, but I knew Jeff very well while he was at East HS in Corning. Being retired I just got back home from being out of the country. So it was a shock to find his obituary in the paper. I'm so sorry for your loss and for the heartbreak this must be for all of you. Jeff was part of some wonderful track teams that I was fortunate enough to coach, and I look back with fondness on the many precious moments we were able to enjoy together. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I am so sad to hear about your loss. Jeff and I worked together in the early 90's at the Customer Support Center before I relocated to North Carolina in 1993. My favorite memories of Jeff are of the Xerox President's Club Trip to Paradise Island, the Bahamas in 1993. He kept us all laughing and had a tremendous spirit even when we ran into problems on the trip. Although I had not seen Jeff for many years, I am sure of this... great friend, great husband, great dad. He will be missed. Love to all and sympathies.

I was also one of the fortunate ones to work with Jeff. He was always as cool as a cucumber when it came to work. He used to hold up signs during meetings when I was talking that said “slow down” so that people could understand me (I’m a fast talker!). His nickname for me was “The Lapster” – after my previous last name – and I always let him get away with it! We would talk about our sons ... I enjoyed seeing new pictures of Josh and Jack in his office as they grew up. I was just sick to my stomach when I heard the news and I get sad every time I think about it. It was an honor to know Jeff. A great, great man! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family ... you have my deepest, most heartfelt sympathy.

He demonstrated a Zest for life in such activities like baseball, gambling, watching football, and riding a wave runner on the lake.
While there is sadness at his passing we are all the better for knowing him and can only hope to emulate the lessons
he demonstrated. Enjoy every day, use your talents to the fullest, and know love.

Jan, there never seems to be the right words to express such deep sympathy in having to say good-bye to someone you love - your husband and father to your children. I will always remember how happy you were and how you would just "glow" when you spoke about your husband and children. When you look at your sons now, you will see Jeff and I hope that you can take comfort in that when you need to. I will add my very sincere sympathies to those of all your other friends and family and hope that you wrap yourself with them to give you strength.

Thoughts of the working years are most often of the people we worked with and knew. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Jeff for many of his years. Jeff was special to work with because he could go with the flow and he handled the day to day pressure exceptionally well, always with a good spirit and attitude both at work and his baseball activities with the kids. As a consolation to his family and many friends, our prayers for him will confirm that life is a learning experience and Jeff learned it well.
