Sandy never gave up in her fight for a transplant. She never
gave up even after one crisis after another. I was proud to be her Aunt, and sent many cards to her to encourage her. I loved her very much although I lived on the West coast in Berkeley. I knew when I heard that she had died that she was immediately greated in Heaven by god. Rose Mary and David, I pray for you daily. A mass is being said on August 22nd at 10:30 a.m. Our choir will sing. Yhis mass will be celebrated at St. Augustines Church iin Oakland,Cal.on

Rosemary and Dave,
We can only imagine your pain in losing such a wonderful daughter at so young an age! Our hearts go out to you and your family. To meet Sandy in church, at Wegman's or wherever we saw her about town, her spirit was always so upbeat and lively. We would have never known the burden she was carrying, but for the oxygen paraphernalia she wore. She was an activist, one who engaged in life, and not one to sit around waiting for an inevitable end. She has certainly touched the lives of many, and left her mark on the hearts of this community.
Our thoughts and prayers go with you...
Ruth and Dean

Rose Mary,
I am so sorry to hear of your tragic, terrible loss of such a beloved daughter. She fought so hard, and you remained at her side throughout the entire ordeal. What more could a loving Mom do?? I was praying for Sandy and you. Now I will pray that the Lord will keep you and your entire family in his loving arms and allow you to heal. God bless you. Your friend (from NH Chorus), Anne Kriz

Rose Mary & David and Family,
My heart breaks for you.....but I am reassured knowing that Sandy took her Butterfly Wings and went to Heaven and is now a shining star shining down upon you! She is a Star! I wish I could be there for you Tuesday and Wednesday - but I am at the Transplant Games, and will return late Wednesday... but I am with you in spirit. And have been praying continuously. Our entire team feels Sandy's presence, and she is with us in spirit, cheering us on...today at Track and Field - I know Sandy was running free, and happy in her running sports! My sister and I were in "Little Switzerland" about 20 minutes from Madison, taking a walk. We were on the sidewalk walking, we turned around and walked the same sidewalk, and Dolores, my sister who is with me, found a dollar bill from Heaven. We had just walked that same spot only moments before, there was nothing on the path. But there it was. "Pennies From Heaven". Sandy truly made her presence known to me. Pennies from Heaven is a strong feeling and such a wonderful gift. It meant the world to me. I was tempted to come home but our team told me to stay put here, that is what Sandy would want, and they are right...she wants to cheer us all on, have a great time. So that is what we are doing. I love you all... so much....I will be in touch upon my return... My boyfriend Mitch Radcliff, my Dad - George Schum, and my sister Trudy Pellman will be attending in my place.
We just had a team dinner, and we had moments of silence for Sandy, and prayers for you both.
See you soon.
Love, Joanne

Sandy: Rest well, for you are now in a better place. Know
that you fought a courageous battle, one that you never gave up on. Sometimes we don't know the answer to the question, "why does God have to take us now"? I suppose the simple answer is God only "knows", and you are now in his arms in peace and comfort. Rest well Sandy, and continue to watch over your family as their angel. Blessedly, The Taylors
answer lies with him, for he will keep you safe and at peace. You are now an angel watching over your family. Rest well Sandy. The Taylors
