I remember going to the Mr. Softee depot with Uncle Joe when I was as little. He was always smiling. He always had the best suntan after coming back from Florida when he and Aunt Rosie would go for the winter. May he always be remembered fondly and in our prayers. Reunited with family in heaven.

Dear Joe
I love you very much and will miss you tremendously. It was a pleasure to care for you and an even greater joy to have known you. Thank you for being a grandfather to me when I had none. (At this point you would pat me on the cheek, mispronounce my name and tell me "no crying") Rest in peace my friend.

Joe, I will miss you, miss talking to you and hearing your cheerful voice, and the stories you told me about grandpa Elia back in Brooklyn on Scholes Street. You always made sure you kept connected to and with the family, you always had a kind word. I know Aunt Mary, my mom, was waiting for you at Heaven's Door with a great big pan of Lasagna. Tell my mom and dad I miss them and send my love. My heartfelt sympathy for Richard and family, and all the relatives that knew and loved Joe, as did I. Aloha, Adios, Arrivaderci, Farewell, see you again someday.
