Obituary of Vincent Gerard Weltzer

Passed away on August 6, 2011 at age 87. He is survived by his loving and devoted sister, Phyllis A. Weltzer; loving nieces & nephews, Michael (Lisa) Weltzer, Tom Weltzer, Mary (Bob) Downard, Susan (Jim) Fitzgerald, Jeanne (Rob) Cerone & June (Tony Frosino) Weltzer; loving great nieces & nephews, Katie & Billy Weltzer & Rachael Anne, Jacob & Sarah Cerone. Predeceased by his parents, Michael G. Jr. & Anne M. Weltzer; brother & sister-in-law, Howard & Beverly Weltzer & good friend, Larry Heusinger. A gentle man who loved his family & music, Vincent had a wonderful sense of humor and lived his faith. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with his MSW, was a member of Pax Christi, the Newman Community at the U of R & a longtime member of St. Mary’s Church - Downtown. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Miller Funeral Homes (3325 Winton Road South) Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated, Wednesday, 10 AM at St Monica’s Church (831 Genesee St) Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Masses may be offered for the repose of his soul.
