Obituary of Eleanor Hannah Pel

Pel, Eleanor Hannah (Hetzel) Rochester: passed away peacefully at L. B. Care center In Brockport N.Y., at the age of 96. Eleanor was born May 30,1915 in Rochester. She was a manager at Scrantom’s Book & Stationary in Midtown Plaza until her retirement in 1981. She also served on the Board of Directors for Midtown Plaza. Eleanor and her husband Frederick built their home in Rochester and their cottage in Waterport where they enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Next to her family, Eleanor’s love was for chocolate and her pets. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Frederick, son-in-law David Kenna and great grand daughter Daisy Marie Kenna. Eleanor is survived by daughters, Marie Kenna of Camillus, Jean (Jim) Salt of Southport, NC, and Verna (Ken) Gartz of Spencerport, Grandsons Rob(Kelly) and Greg (Krista) Kenna, great grandchildren, Morgan, Ellie, Gavin, Hannah, and Stone. Services will be Wednesday, Aug. 17th at Noon with a calling hour from 11am to Noon preceeding the service. Services will be in the All Seasons Chapel of White Haven Memorial Park (210 Marsh Road). Entombment to follow the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Eleanor’s name to, LollyPop Farm Humane Society,99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY 14450.
