George C. Burke "Jack" Sarasota, FL: Passed away unexpectedly on September 2, 2011 at age 87. He was predeceased by his wife, Therese M. Burke and 20 year companion, Marge Rohlfing. He is survived by his daughters, Pauline (Larry) Pace, Elizabeth (John) Bunce; sons, George C., III (Peggy), Paul, Timothy (Anne), Michael (Beverly), Christopher (Connie), Patrick & Joseph (Mary Beth); grandchildren, Megan, Kathryn (Ed), George IV, Shannon, Erik, Marcus (Lacey), Marisa, Bryan, Rachael, Amanda, Jeremy, Colby, Mickey, Danny, Stacy, John, John, III, Caitlin, Erin, Teagan, Courtney, Claudia & Colin; great grandchildren, Liam, Connor, Jack, Revlie, Kayla, Anthony & Zander; sister-in-law, Paula (Bill) Ritter; many nieces, nephews & friends. He was an Army veteran of WWII, long time volunteer and Board member of the ARC, and St. Vincent DePaul in Sarasota as a Grand Knight, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Family and friends are invited to call on WEDNESDAY 4-8 PM at Miller Funeral Homes, Inc. 3325 Winton Road South. Jack's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on THURSDAY at 10 AM in Guardian Angels Church, 2061 East Henrietta Road (Click for a Map to the Church). Interment White Haven Memorial Park.
