Dear Patty and Family,
We are so sorry to hear about your mom. She was a truly wonderful lady. We will really miss her and were very sorry that she was unable to get to the lake one last time. We know how much she loved it and how glad she was to see "lake people" move in next door. We have some fond memories of your dad bringing us liquor and putting it in our grill. He would call us to make sure we didn't light it before we took it out. I know your mom enjoyed watching the little kids swim and was glad to see us enjoy the lake she so loved. We felt very honored when she told us to put the bridge back that was missing for a few years. I loved it when she use to come over the bridge and sit on the swing to visit. She use to tell me about the times your family would take innertubes and go down the creek after a big rainstorm. In fact, I was able to see it happen a few weeks ago when the Strickland boys rode down the creek after a very heavy rain. It was fun to watch.
Rick misses getting her paper on the weekend. Your mom was so careful to make sure she paid him every week. He didn't care but it gave him a chance to visit with her.
Please remember that you are in our prayers during this sad time. It sounds like Ceal had a truly wonderful life and now she will be having a great time in heaven with your dad.
Sincerely,
Margaret and Rick Schenkl
