There you lay peaceful, unable to say good bye....my heart is heavy, and even makes me cry.
I'm so confused and don't understand....why its time you must leave this land.
I'm so damn angry inside......my sadness I just cannot hide.
I hope you hear me tonight.....as I say my prayers, and say goodnight.
I hope to hear you whisper in my ear, and take the time to wipe away my tear.
You have such a golden heart......I know the Lord will guide you as we part.
So I say this last bit to you.....I'm going to miss and love you."
I don't write poems very often if at all, but the words came so easy. You are such a good person and one that always had a golden heart. I will always remember the good times we shared and the love you had for so many people. Gonna miss you Aunt Carol....Love Karl

As an Oncology nurse for 22 years, I try not to get too personally close to my patients, but there are always some that get into my heart and Carol was on the top of my list. It was always a pleasure to see Carol and Pat. Her smile and cheerful appearance always made my day. She will be missed dearly by all of us in our Oncology clinic.

Aunt Carol, you have left us with some wonderful memories. Your heart of gold will always be remembered and cherished. Thank you for your smile and thoughtfulness. I know we wont be able to take that Vegas trip together we always talked about but I will think of you always.

My heart is sad for the loss of such a good friend. Be at peace now with the good Lord and we shall meet again. You will truly be missed at work and you set a high standard of work ethics that I know made a difference.

Sis, I really wanted to say goodbye one more time, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be. You were the sister that I never had and I loved you with all my heart. We will all miss your smile, your laugh, your help, and your evergiving self. Take care my special person until we meet again. God bless and grant you safe passage so that you will be able to smile that wonderful smile and be pain free again. Poopsie
