Linda was one of those people whom you gradually grow to realize is one of the kindest, smartest people you will ever meet. The longer I knew her, the more I was in awe of her. I feel so sad that Patrick has lost her so early in his life. I hope he will keep her warm loving spirit in mind as he grows older, and I feel sure she is watching over him. Dan and Patrick, thinking of you.

Linda and I were roomates back in the mid-80's and my husband (Ted Retzlaff) and I were thrilled to come to your wedding, Dan. I know how thrilled she was when you were born, Patrick. Although we lost touch in later years, I will never forget how special a person Linda was. She will be missed by so, so many.

I first met Linda in 1986 when I began working at VNS. I knew almost at once that she was a special person. Even though I am not a nurse, she helped me get settled into life at VNS. I lost my oldest brother in November, 2011 and I was calling Linda looking for her wonderful insight, knowledge and advise. I said to her, "I can't believe I"m calling you for advise when we are ill". She said "keep calling, it makes me feel like I am helping you." That was so Linda.
The last time I saw her was just before Christmas and had I known that would be the last time I would see her, I would have held onto the wonderful hug she gave me a little longer.
Linda - I miss you already!

Linda was there for my mother and I when my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in January 2010. She was supportive and helpful with resources, information and tips about getting thru the surgery. She has always been someone I could talk to when I was having an problem. She was a great listener and an even better friend. I will miss her a great deal.

Linda was/is my closest friend. She was an amazing person and I feel honored to have known her and to have her as a friend. She had a generous heart and accepted people as they are. I learned so much from her and her absence will be with me forever. Dan and Patrick, her love will be with you forever. My deepest sympathies that you had to lose her so early in life. My prayers are with you and always will be.

I had the pleasure of working with Linda for six years at a previous job and for the past 5 years at her most recent job. She was warm hearted, genuine, and always willing to lend an ear or hand (or both), no matter what the reason. She extended herself to me personlly a number of times, and I am forever grateful to her for that. She treasured her family and friends, of whom she spoke frequently. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Dan, Patrick and all of Linda's "sisters" and "brothers in law".

30 years ago, my mom had cancer. Linda was her nurse, but she was more than that. Linda listened, offered advice, and showed how a medical professional could do more than offer objective advice. She told me important things from her heart. This amazing woman left such an impression on our family. Although 30 years have passed since our mother's death, I always remember Linda as someone special . You gave the gift of yourself. Thank you, special Linda.
