Died March 10, 2012 peacefully surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his children, Claire, Ann & James Michel, wife Rita (McKenna) Michel. Survived by his children, Edward (Michelle) Michel, Nancy Michel, Sheila (Stephen) Ryan, Frank (Christine) Michel; grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Flagg, David, James, Kevin (Nicole), Elizabeth, Jeffrey, Madison, Miranda & Masten Michel, Courtney (Carmen) Gondoli & Stephanie Ryan; 4 great grandchildren; daugter in-law Lesley Michel; sister, Mary Mandell; many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. George was a Veteran of WW II & Korea and retired after serving over 30 years. He was a 70 year member of Henrietta Fire Co. #1 serving as an active Firefighter for 50 years Owned Michel Lawn Equipment and was a retired teacher from Rush Henrietta Schools. George's Funeral Mass will be SATURDAY 10 AM in Good Shepherd Church (CHAPEL) 3318 East Henrietta Rd. followed by a reception at Henrietta Fire Co. #1. Interment will be announced at a later date.
