Obituary of Albert J. Zagami

Formerly of Pittsford and Fairport, he passed away on April 23, 2012 at age 95. He is predeceased by his wife, Eunice; brother, Andrew Zagami; sister, Josephine Mancuso. Survived by his daughters, Janet (Robert) Barkstrom, Karen (Gary) Pauley of OH., grandchildren, Lindsay and Christopher Schenkel, Daniel, Bradley and Ryan Pauley; two step grandchildren, Scott (Diane) Barkstrom, Greg (Stacia) Barkstrom; great grandchildren; sister, Anne Profetta; brother, Victor Caganey; sister in law, Mary Baker; several nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Al was a US Army Veteran of WW II where he was a recipient of the Bronze Star while serving in the 209th Infantry Division. He continued his service to his country by serving as a Major in the Army National Guard. After the war he went on to graduate from R.I.T. and eventually retired as a mechanical engineer from ITEK Corp. Family and friends are invited to call at Miller Funeral Homes, Inc. (3325 Winton Rd.
