Obituary of John A. Tirabassi

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 30, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. John is predeceased by his parents, Emidio & Anna Tirabassi, wives, Edith & Josephine, sister, Julia, brothers, Samuel and Frank and by his faithful companion "Dudley" the Cocker Spaniel. Survived by his sons, John, Jr. (Nancy), Gerald (Nancy) and Thomas (Louise) and his daughter, Sandy (Larry) Vogel, 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. John was a life long resident of West Henrietta and a long time proprietor of Tirabassi Farms and Tirabassi Farm Market a family business for over 80 years. He was a member of the Henrietta zoning and planning board, Chairman of the Monroe County Fair where he received the Civic Acheivment Award, Chairman of the Board and member of the Genesee Valley Regional Market, Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council # 4812, served under George H. W. Bush on the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Committee, Past President and Life Member of the West Henrietta Fire Department and a life long member of the Church of the Good Shepherd. Visitation will be held SUNDAY from 4-7 at Miller Funeral Homes, Inc. 3325 Winton Rd S. MONDAY family and friends will meet at 11 AM for John's Funeral Mass at St. Louis Church Pittsford, interment St. Paul of The Cross Cemetery Honeoye Falls.
