Donna:
I met you MANY years ago when I lived in Rochester. I met Bill J and Tommy at the Red Creek Lounge and we have been friends ever since. Dennis joined us on many occassions and each time he added SOOO MUCH to the fun.
Donna Please accept my and Ann's DEEPEST Sympathies. We lit many candles for Dennis asking God to do what was best for Dennis. I did not see or hear much during Dennis' fight, but from reading the other notes, it sounds like he was tested at many turns. I am sure he is now in comfort with his parents and others. This I know does not make your load any lighter.
We will keep yopou and the boys in our prayers.
Best Regards
Greg & Ann Cummings

Dear Donna and Family, I was so very saddened to hear of Dennis's passing... I pray that God will comfort you in this time of great loss. I was a classmate of Dennis and graduated with him from Sperry. The last time I saw and spoke to him was at our 35th reunion in 2010. He spoke with love and ne of his huge smiles when telling me of his wife and family... I could see the love he had and was so happy fr the joy in his life. I will always remember his kindness and the smile that was always on his face... Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.. He will be so missed and our class will always remember him with love.

I am so sorry for your loss. It has been many years since I have seen any of the Darbys...but i will never forget any of you. Such a wonderful, warm, loving family... My favorite family memory was when one of Eileen's siblings, I believe it may have been Mary, opened the back door and called the dog, Jiggs... and if you were there you remember the rest of the story!! I send my condolences from afar, since we are out of town on vacation, otherwise I would have come in person. Again, I am so sorry for your loss.... God Bless you and may you find strength in each other's love.... Eileen, I would love to see you again :)

My condolences to the Darby family. It seems like just a moment ago that we were all kids playing in the back yard without a care or a worry. I'm sure Dennis has passed through the Gates to Heaven and taken the time to shake St. Peter's hand and planning our next escapade when we all meet once again safe in God's back yard.

I first met Dennis when he and I worked for my father at the old Shell station at the age of 15. We became good friends and I came to view Dennis as the brother I never had. He was liked and loved by many and the times we shared together will never be forgotten. To Donna who was always the twinkle of his eye (Yes, you were) I will always remember the day you were wed. It took to long for that to happen. Life as we know it can be so unfair but our creator will remember our dear Dennis. Robyn and I cannot express in words the way we feel, only that throw your burdens on our heavenly father and he promises to help sustain us through our times of mourning and distress. Our LOVE to you, both Connor and Aiden & the entire Darby Family.

I remember meeting Dennis years ago when he worked for my wifes' Uncle, John Parisi at the old Shell gas station on Winton Rd. My impression of him has never changed down through the years. He had a kind of inner light about him. He loved life, and always seemed to be looking for ways to get the most out of it. He was honest and fair minded. I never heard him use foul language or tell a dirty joke, or raise his voice in anger at anyone. I don't remember discussing religion with him, but he seemed to me a christian through and through. The main thing I'll always remember about Dennis was his smile. He had a gap in his front tooth and a twinkle in his eyes giving him a boyish charm that drove all the girls wild for him, and he knew it too! I used to ask him all the time "What did you do for God to rate you so special?" Girls fall over like ten pins when you walk by and run screaming at the sight of the rest of us. Well, Dennis was special. Anyone who has ever met him will agree to that. The light we've all known as Dennis Darby has now gone out, and he will be missed. We who remain are richer for having known him. Go with God, my friend.

Donna, Conor, and Aidan I am sorry to hear of the loss of your husband and father. Seeing you all on my trips east to visit Joe & Lori always made them more special. I always loved visiting with Dennis and will never forget his kindness, gentleness, and that sense of understanding. He always spoke so lovingly and proudly of all of you and seemed to enjoy sharing the family stories. When I last saw him in September after the first surgery, he spoke of concern for you his family not so much for himself. Please accept my deepest sympathies as my heart truly goes out to you in this difficult time. Remember his love and memory will live on forever in your hearts and minds and all those who he has touched. Wishing all Peace.
