Pastor Parham was dearly loved by my family and I was one of his many Church Family members in Spartanburg, SC. I will always remember that he thought we were unusual as a church, because we had a "good time" at Board Meeting.
We looked forward to it as a type of reunion. He will be missed because we loved him dearly. May God bless you Joan, and Nicole, Matissha, and Christopher, and may God keep you in this time of heartbreaking LOSS..

Pastor Parham was my pastor at Shiloh SDA in Spartanburg, SC back in the 1980's. I remember when he baptized me, my brother, and a friend on the same Sabbath. I was seven years old at the time, but I will never forget that day. Pastor Parham had a time keeping three kids in the baptismal pool under control.
To the family...God bless you all. We have this hope that by God's grace, we will see Pastor Parham again in Heaven.

Death is always a sorrowful note, but death is a part of living. We all know that death is before us we just don't know when, what we do know is that one day God will distroy death and the sorrow that it brings this is the hope we have that God will make all things new and we will see those loved ones that were lost in this world never to be separated again. Our deepest sympathy to the family at this time.

Imagine what it will be like to be surrounded by the glory of God. You have arrived in your eternal home – Heaven. This is the blessed hope of every believer. But before we get there we sometimes see loved ones go before us. We can celebrate the home going, but as humans we still mourn for the time that we will miss them in our earthly home. But this does not need to be a time of sadness; we can be comforted with what the Bible promises
1 Thessalonians 4:14-17 For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.
It is my sincere hope that we meet him and each other there. Rest in peace Pastor Parham.

Pastor Parham was my buddy. Our friendship was first forged as we sat around the boardroom table of the Northeastern Conference Executive committee more than twenty years ago and it remained strong. I traveled with him on his first trip to Hungary, and had the privilege of working with him as part of his evangelistic team there. His special insights and commentary were always available and we talked often once he too became a member of the Western New York community. I will miss his smile, his laughter and his wisdom. I look forward to the heavenly reunion when death is no more and I pray that we all will be there.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my "brother" and pastor. Our families have a lifelong bond which began with our fathers years ago in Sumter, South Carolina. Pastor Parham's ministry brought many individuals to Christ. Although we miss him dearly, I joyously claim God's promise that one day we will meet again on that glorious day when Christ returns. Be encouraged and strengthened in the Lord.
