On October 20, 2010, at age 50. He is predeceased by his sister, Janet Ackley. Survived by his parents, Edward & Agnes Ackley; sisters, Pat (John) Muir, Cathy (Bob) Gallinger; niece, Jody Gallinger; nephews, Jim (Andrea) Muir, Nathan Muir, Brian Gallinger; grand nephew Colin Muir; grand niece Katie Muir; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. John was a graduate of Pittsford Mendon High School and Cal State Fullerton.
