Dear Family of Ward-I knew Ward briefly moons ago when he and about 8 others of us took a course in Memoir writing from Finvola Drury at Writers and Books. He was delightful. A keen listener tot he stories of others. Insightful questions of what he heard and a descriptive writer of his own story. One day he read aloud his story about a ship he served on. The image and detail of that life caught him. He choked up and tears filled his eyes as we waited for him to continue. What a tribute to his naval service, the ship and the men, his fellow seamen. But you probably know all this. It was a pleasure knowing him even for that short time. Blessings on Ward and each of you fortunate to have him as husband and father.

Ward will be missed by many. I remember Ward well as he and I both being members of Christ View Meth. Church, we worked together on many projects and committees. Believe it or not we enjoyed stewardship things such as cleaning the sanctuary and would laugh at the simple little things like a squeaky wheel on the mop bucket. Ward was such a devout christian man I felt moved just to work with him. He was a proud navy man and served on a ship that was commanded by Woody Hayes. He talked about Woody often. I was always sorry when Ward moved on to another church and Char and I began spending winters in Fl. after retirement so we kind of grew apart but Ward will always be part of my life and will not be forgotten. We will miss his service but will try to contact Lois some time after.
Our deepest sympathy to Lois and her family. We remember the family well and we grieve with them.
