Obituary of Henry L. West

Henry L. West, age 94, passed away on November 29, 2014 at home, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Yvonne, two children, Judy-ann and husband Terry Kirchoff, Ken and wife Sue, and three grandchildren, Stephen, Christina and Laura. Henry was born in Augsburg, Germany to Hedwig and William West, and came to the US in the mid-1930s. He served in World War II with the US Navy Seabees, worked as a mechanical engineer at Eastman Kodak for 37 years, and was a counselor at SCORE during his retirement. He enjoyed travel, time with his family and home improvement projects. He’ll be remembered for his sharp intellect and his wide smile. As an engineer, Henry was practical and valued science. Accordingly, he arranged for his body to be donated to the U of R School of Medicine.
