Obituary of Cathleen E. Towner

Cathleen E. Towner Brighton: At peace on November 3, 2009. Survived by her husband, George; son, Adam and his wife, Marinelly; sister, Sharon and her husband, Dennis Limbaugh of Forest Park, IL; brother, Terry Cotter of Crystal Lake, IL; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews in NY, IL, FL and TX. A long time advocate for the Disabled, she retired as Associate Director of the Genesee Transportation Council, where she oversaw the Project Connect, RideShare and CAR programs. She served on he Board of Directors of Medical Motor Services and the Transportation Committee of the Al Sigl Center Board of Directors. She graduated from Illinois State University in 1972. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, gardening and reading. Cathleen's Memorial Service will be celebrated in the Interfaith Chapel at Miller Funeral Homes (3325 Winton Road South) on Tuesday at 7 PM. Interment, private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lollypop Farm, the Highland Hospital or the Al Sigl Center in her memory.
