Obituary of Michael J. Lopa

Michael J. Lopa “Mike, Pa, Coach” Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 8, 2015 at age 73 after a long courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Mike was predeceased by his beloved mother, Bertha (Severino) Lopa; “Special Uncle” Pat Severino; cousin, Janice Brady; brother-in-law, Greg Ellis. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 53 years, Barbara (Sellitto) Lopa; daughters, Lori (Jerry) Connolly & Jill (Guy) Guglielmino; grandchildren, Erin, Evan & Jenna Connolly, Gabriella & Raffaella Guglielmino; sister, Joann Basilio; sister-in-law, Joan Ellis; brother-in-law, Jerry (Kathy) Sellitto; half-siblings in CA, Allen, Keven, Mike, Christine & Diane; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Mike was a teacher and coach with the Greece Central School District for 33 years. Family and Friends are invited to Mike's Memorial Mass on FRIDAY, March 13th at 1:00 PM in the Church of the Transfiguration, 50 West Bloomfield Road, Pittsford.
