Gene worked me hard the summer of 1977. He loved farming and it showed in his dedication. He also had a good
sense of humor. He told me his wife could paint faster than me. He will be missed by many.

It's certainly sad to see the passing of one of the last members of the great farming community that used to live in farm in Henrietta. When I was growing up I got to know the Howlett family quite well while in Boy Scouts with their sons. Gene and Charles were always there to help no matter what was asked of them. He will be sorely missed by many!

Carol, I am so sorry for your loss. I never got to meet your father but the glimpse I got of him through your eyes showed me that he was an extraordinary man. May you find peace in your memories.

I am so sorry for your loss, I have very fond memories of "Uncle Gene" when we visited the farm as kids. He had a great sense of humor, always joking with us. My sympathies are with you Aunt Helen, Carol and Allen, Ron and Cindy, and Sandy and Bruce.

My deepest sympathy to Mrs. Howlett, Carol and Allen, Julie and Scott, Ron and Cindy, Eric and Brad, Bruce and Sandy, Melissa and Michael. The last time I saw Gene was Julie's wedding. We exchanged fish stories. His smile and laugh were contagious. You just wanted to be around him. He will be missed.
