Obituary of Eugene M. Howlett

Eugene M. Howlett, 86, born Dec. 18, 1928 passed away peacefully on September 13 th at St. Ann's Care Center at Cherry Ridge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Nellie Howlett and brother Charles and Charles' wife Jean. Eugene graduated from Henrietta High School and Cornell University. Gene was a life long farmer in Henrietta and began farming with his father and brother at an early age and continued with his son Bruce. His love for the land and passion for farming never left him. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and sharing time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen, daughter Carol (Allen) Green of Canton, OH, son Ron (Cindy) Howlett of Richmond, VA, son Bruce (Sandy) Howlett of Avon, NY and six grandchildren, Julie (Mike)Thornton, Scott (Nazlie) Green, Eric Howlett, Brad Howlett, Melissa (Greg) Stanton, and Michael (Carly) Howlett; great grandson Brian Stanton. He also leaves many nieces and nephews that were very important to him. The family would like to thank Cherry Ridge for their compassion and assistance.
