Dear Elena and family,
I mailed a note to you-Africa gave me the address, but it was returned. May your many memories together be comforting--and knowing Arthur is now at peace I hope helps in your days ahead. Love, Rona (Poss)

Arthur and Elena were staples in my life...I still remember his "Cuban" sandwiches...He always gave me the gift of friendship and his dear friend Carl Zollo I'm sure greeted him by the "pearly gates" Arthur was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by us all.

I have known Arthur for many years and shared many good conversations and laughter over coffee and lunches. We had some great times. He was a supporter to the Latin community or any projects he saw value in. With his artistic vision, he built the eclectic Anderson Alley, a cornerstone of the Rochester art community. I will miss him and his smile dearly. Condolences to Elena and his family.

I am crushed to read this. My heart is his family. Arthur was larger than life and being part of his F & F family for so many years enriched my life and rarely does a day go by that I do not reflect on those times let alone share stories with unfortunates who never experienced 50 Anderson Avenue on some level. May peace and great memories soon drown your grief.

Elena,Simon,Adam,Diana you had the honor of having Arthur as your husband and father, we all loved Artie and our lives were enriched byhis dark humor, his generosity, his gift of truly listening to what you had to say. He was bigger than life and he made a huge difference in the lives he touched. His legacy will live on thru his vast accomplishments and his beautiful offspring and loving wife, Elena. And as we both said when last we spoke just days before he entered eternal life. F@&$

My daughter, an artist, rents space on the second floor of the old F&F building. It has been a wonderful venue for her small gallery and her workshop. I myself really miss F&F, as I used to buy marvelous fabrics there. But its rebirth as an artist's "haven" is a real plus for the City of Rochester, and a monument to Arthur's inspiration.

Thank you for developing the artist studios over the Fabric and Findings store all those years ago. They have been creative homes for so many artists over the years. Your commitment to this area of Rochester has blossomed into a very special place for the arts.
My condolences to your family and friends.

Elena, so sorry for your loss. I haven't seen Art for many years, but I could never forget him. When he became a buyer at Neisners, he trained me to assume the position that he was vacating. We were great friends until the two of you left town. I wish that I knew that you had returned, I would have loved to have seen you both. God bless you and your family.
