Obituary of Eric Anderson-Zych

Rochester, 2/23/16,age 50. Eric peacefully passed away after a 5 year battle with colon cancer. He lived his life as fullyengaged as possible, both before and after the diagnosis and ensuing treatments,always with humor, grace, and an inspiring level of energy. Eric loved living in Rochesterand was actively involved in community building organizations throughout hislife. He was kind-hearted, butpragmatic, and his erudite insights helped others be more effective in theirwork and activism. Eric had severalcareers but he truly treasured his days working as a substitute teacher at theGenesee Community Charter School. Eric is survived byhis loving wife, Laurie Anderson-Zych and his adored daughters Ellie and RosieAnderson-Zych. He is also survived by hismother Louise and brother Ron Anderson of Auburn IN. He was an inspiration to and will be missedby his family and many, many dear friends, colleagues and a vast acquaintance(nearly everyone he met). A memorialservice will be arranged for the spring.
