Cathy, I feel very badly for your loss. Rick and I enjoyed the time spent talking to you and Phil in your Hospitality Room at contests and events. You both were very blessed to have each other. My thoughts and prayers are with you

Dear Mrs. McCabe and Family,
I always remember Phil and his RED suspenders which he wore so often. His attendance at our R&E Retirees monthly luncheons was always enjoyable because of his upbeat attitude.
We had a wonderful time listening to him sing with his Barbershop Quartet for one of our Guest Day luncheons several years ago—and he wore his RED suspenders!
You can be very proud of all his contributions to society and his work with the Bridgehead Group at Hawkeye. It was a key to winning the cold war for Presidents Eisenhower through Reagan. I worked on the flight hardware of the SAMOS & GAMBIT imaging satellites, and more, so I understand the importance of Phil's film processing contributions.
Please accept my condolences for your loss of a member of the Greatest Generation and a Teacher of the young of another.

Dear Cathy & family,
I am sorry for your loss.
Phil was a pleasure to know: friendly, outgoing, and caring, with a fine sense of humor.
I am sure we all have our own fond memories of Phil and the time we spent with him.
May he rest in peace.
Sincerely,
Jim Breese
