We are very sorry to read of the passing of Bob Slocomb. We have very pleasant memories of flying with "Pilot Bob" (and Paul Ruben) to several amusement parks way back when. Bob was an excellent pilot and a great person to travel with.

Dear Friends:
My name is Carlos Gomez. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Slocomb when I attended several Rochester Chapter investor meetings and events several years ago. Alleen and Jeff Fraser 'adopted' me after I arrived to the United States as a political refugee from Nicaragua in 1981. I am happy to have returned to Rochester to assist with the care of Alleen. I wanted to tell Ann and Kay that I learned to love Bob Slocomb because Jeff spoke so highly of him at the dinner table. Jeff Fraser looked up to him! Perhaps you will remember that I had the chance to say HI to both of you while you were shopping at the Trader Joe's in Rochester. Jeff and Alleen Fraser were witnesses to Bob's generosity and kindness. I also wanted to say that the three times when I sat next to him, Bob was caring and kind to me. I do recall he would share the most interesting and informative financial handouts with the group. I feel fortunate to have come in touch with this wonderful man. Alleen and Jeff were mindful to visit him at the Jewish Home because they truly cared for him. I arrived late at the Miller Funeral Home because I was finishing my classroom assignment. There are no words that can convey my sadness for the Bob. May he rest in peace!
Respectfully yours,
Carlos A. Gomez

Condolences to Aunt Kay, Annie, and all of the family and friends of Uncle Bob. After a long life of adventure and sportsmanship, he has found safe harbor. May he rest in peace. I will remember him for his generosity in helping to arrange for Lorraine and I to host our marriage reception at the Rochester Yacht Club.

Our Christmas celebration with Uncle Bob in 2013. We gave him some liquor-filled chocolates and he sure liked them!

My heart and prayers go out to my courageous and loving Aunt Kay and Cousin Ann who have lost a dear husband and father after a difficult few years of deteriating health. He is now at peace.
Thank you Uncle Bob for so many fond memories of sailboat rides, airplane rides, and times at the lake with family and friends. I'll miss you Uncle Bob!
