Obituary of Eugene M. Hayden

On August 16, 2016 at age 81. Predeceased by parents, Eugene and Florence Hayden. Survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Virginia; children, Gail (Jon) Bigg, Craig Hayden, David (Diana) Hayden, Mark (Joanne) Hayden; Grandchildren, Justin, Kyle, Allison, Jacob, Joshua, Liam, and Kieran. Gene's passions included the New York Giants, as a season tickets holder for decades, golf and Winged Foot Golf Club, where he spent many years as a caddie for his father who was caddiemaster. He also spent more than 25 years as a goal judge for the American Hockey League team in Binghamton. Later in life, his passion for books and education was reflected in his involvement with the OSHER Institute at RIT. Family and friends are invited to call at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services (3325 Winton Rd South) on FRIDAY (8/19/16) from 4-7pm. His mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Marianne Cope Parish (Good Shepard Church 3318 East Henrietta Rd) SATURDAY (8/20/16) at 10 AM. Internment private. In lieu of flowers friends may contribute to Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at RIT (50 Fairwood Drive, Suite 100, Rochester, NY 14623) in his memory.
